The SA Hiking Challenge is a two-day event, covering 80kms of the Heysen Trail, through South Australia's historic Copper Country. Taking in the most beautiful walking wails in the Australia, participants take on this challenge to raise funds for bowel cancer prevent initiatives.

Tasting Australia 2014 is all about eating and drinking, not just food and wine. It is about experiences, not just events. Above all it is about participating, not just attending.

Tasting Australia, one of the nation’s most influential and popular culinary festivals for more than 15 years, was significantly revamped for 2014 with Events South Australia engaging a new event management team to develop a range of initiatives that engaged companies from all areas of the food, wine and tourism industries to build the event program. The result was an 8-day food and wine festival, boasting over 80 managed and associated events throughout metropolitan and regional South Australia.

Now in its 35th year, the Sungold Field Days has grown to become one of Victoria’s premier agricultural events showcasing a vast range of agricultural machinery, the latest in dairy innovations and plenty of entertainment for families. The 2016 the event is at full capacity hosting 245 sites; the biggest in its history. The event will also host more than 50 new exhibitors never seen before at the Field Days, and about 25 new product releases at the field days this year

From the 2011 ride, Event Managers Australia have had the honor and the challenge of organising the recreational ride associated with the Tour Down under – in 2011 named the Mutual Community Challenge Tour Recreational Ride and in 2012 onwards the Bupa Challenge Tour.  This inclusive, community-oriented event runs in tandem with the main Tour Down Under annual event, and gives over 7,500 competent cyclists the chance to experience riding on the Tour course.

Adelaide runs a unique volunteer ‘Meet and Greet’ program for cruise ship passengers and crew arriving in Outer Harbour.  Co-ordinated by Event Managers Australia through the South Australian Tourism Commission, the ‘Meet and Greet’ program gives cruise ship passengers the chance to sample South Australia’s friendly culture and arts and crafts as soon as they step ashore. Volunteers and local retailers are both on hand to provide information.

Event Managers Australia continues working with the City of Port Adelaide Enfield to deliver the 2013 Port Festival on Saturday 19 & Sunday 20 October after it's previous success.

Event Managers Australia were the engine behind the bi-annual Port Festival, a two day event-filled family festival based in Port Adelaide, SA's maritime heartland. Festival goers had the opportunity to experience our evocative seafaring history, vibrant arts scene, succulent seafood, river recreation and the world's only inner-city dolphins.

ConnectED (formerly known as DECSPO in 2011) is an induction event for new corporate staff, early career and pre-service teachers as well as teachers returning to teaching.Delighted to be working with DECS again, ConnectED 2012 proved to be a very successful EMA managed event. The program included workshops, main stage panels and speakers at the National Wine Centre.

The Honorable Jay Weatherill, Premier of South Australia joined in on the Adelaide 'Mad March' festivities hosting his own reception with highlights from major festivals. Backdropped against the scenic Torrens River, guests celebrated with food and drink and entertained by musical, acrobatic and dance acts. 

The Million Paws Walk is the RSPCA’s biggest annual national fundraiser, encouraging people and their four-footed best friends to take “walkies” to the next level. Thousands of South Australians (both human and canine) raised funds for the RSPCA and enjoy a healthy day out. This year we are excited to have the walk in Bonython Park, May 19 2013.

Every Generation Festival is an annual event celebrating the coming together of generations and is a public acknowledgement of the contribution that seniors make to our society.

South Australia played host to the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall on Wednesday 7 November 2012 as part of year-long celebrations for Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee. The Royal Couple’s Adelaide visit was short but rich in culinary experiences, industry showcases and a public appearance.

Event Managers is excited to be a part of this inaugural fundraising event created by the partnership of four leading charities: the Heart Foundation, Flinders Medical Centre Foundation, Leukaemia Foundation and the Little Heroes Foundation.

On 17th October 2010, the hopes of many Catholics across Australia came to fruition when the founder of the Order of the Sisters of St Joseph, Mary McKillop, was canonised in a ceremony in Rome and made Australia’s first saint.  Celebrations across the state were held in her honor, and Event Managers Australia had the privilege of organising the commemoration held in Saint Mary McKillop’s home town of Penola.

The West End Mighty River Run takes up to 40 boats and their crews on a five-day trip along the Murray, taking in many spectacular sights of this magnificent river. Registered participants raise funds for Novita before heading off on the Run. Each night is spent at a different location, spending time in towns and homesteads along the way. Days and evenings are filled with activities, entertainment and games that everyone can enjoy.

In 2007, The World Police and Fire Games was the largest sporting event ever held in South Australia. In terms of the number of events and competitors in South Australia they were larger than either the Olympic Games or Commonwealth Games. Almost 8,100 competitors attended The Games in 79 events over 10 days at 55 venues in Adelaide and regional South Australia, including road cycling, biathlon, triathlon, cross-country and half-marathon events.

EMA’s Jodi Pfitzner was the Major Event Manager for this enormous sporting undertaking, responsible for the Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, entertainment village, sports, exhibition, information centre and VIP functions (2006/07).

Jodi delivered a highly successful social and entertainment program that is still remembered as a highlight by visiting athletes, and was recognised at the time as being the finest ever at a WPFG. The 2007 WPFG delivered an economic benefit to the State of South Australia measured at over $32 million.

EMA Director Jodi Pfitzner was responsible for managing Hindmarsh Stadium for two A League Soccer seasons and when it hosted the Asian Soccer Championships.

Her role included co-ordinating all ticketing, security, patron health and safety and traffic management in what could be a volatile spectator environment. Adelaide/Melbourne Victory games carried a high degree of spectator risk and planning to minimise potential rioting.

EMA Director Jodi Pfitzner was the Senior Event Manager on the 2006 Jacob’s Creek Tour Down Under.
This included oversight and overall responsibility for the Be-active Tour, the predecessor to the Skoda Breakaway Series.

As part of her role in this iconic Australian event, Jodi had to develop, build and lead a team of event staff, foster business planning and strategic management, and develop project and risk management practices.

Key Event Managers Australia staff have worked on a number of events where increased tourism has been a driving key performance indicator and have a full appreciation and grasp of what is required to achieve these objectives.

EMA Director Jodi Pfitzner was Event Manager for the Adelaide International Horse Trials in 2003. The Adelaide International Horse trials were the only three star rated three day event in the Southern Hemisphere, and Jodi was responsible for event planning and execution, on site OH&S, traffic management and spectator safety and site construction and bump out.
